A quick note before we get into the details: if anyone can guarantee a Christmas postage cut-off this year then they’re a better person than me! The Royal Mail strikes plus the snow plus all the other ‘usual’ winter disruptions means that between 5-10% of parcels nationwide are currently missing their expected deadlines.
The Royal Mail tracking system is also having a December to forget, frequently failing to update with accurate information and sometimes falsely claiming that RM are ‘waiting for retailers to dispatch your item’ two weeks after receiving it. If you have been affected by these issues then I can only apologise for the hassle, and pass on the reassurances of our RM contacts that they’re working hard to fix the problems.
So with those caveats out of the way – and in full knowledge that these issues are hitting all small businesses equally – here are the last order dates that we believe will allow 90%+ of parcels to arrive in time for Christmas day.
- Standard Tracked Shipping (Royal Mail) – Wednesday 14th December
- Premium Tracked Shipping (Royal Mail) – Sunday 18th December
- Express Tracked Shipping (DPD) – Sunday 18th December
